Having been in the Real Estate industry for over 20 years, Kathy’s first 12 years were as an assistant property manager. She then spent time working in a local escrow office gaining knowledge from that end of the spectrum and a newfound respect for what people “behind the scenes” do for Realtors and their clients. She has earned her GRI designation (Graduate of Realtor Institute) and has also taken follow up Graduate courses. She has also completed courses to earn the designation of ABR (Accredited Buyers Representative). In addition in 2007 she earned the ALHS (Accredited Luxury Home Specialist) and the ASP (Accredited Staging Professional) designations. In early 2009 she proudly earned the CRS designation (Certified Residential Specialist) as well as the new CDPE designation (Certified Distressed Property Expert). In addition to the afore mentioned designations, she is a member of the Douglas County Board of Realtors, Douglas County Million Dollar Club and Douglas County’s Circle of Success (a multi-million dollar club). She is our local liaison for the RMLS and she is serving another year on the States Professional development KOG. She strives to give to her clients (both buyers and sellers) all of the advantages her professional designations/education can offer.

Kathy likes to stay involved with her Board and her community. She is a 5 year Chairperson for the PR committee for the Douglas County Board of Realtors. She has served as the Board’s Secretary, Vice President, 2006 President Elect the 2007 Board President and 2008 Past President. She has served on the Boards ORPAC group and as the co-chair for the new Realtors in Action Community Service committee as well. She is proud to be a 2007 graduate of the exclusive Leadership Institute Northwest. Acceptance of only 7 applicants from Oregon and Washington State each make this an exclusive opportunity for gaining knowledge and leadership skills. She has been a "Greeter" for the Chamber of Commerce & enjoys mingling with the community. She stays current with continuing education so that she may pass that knowledge and expertise on to you, the client/customer.

Along with their beautiful daughter Michelle and their son-in-law Jayson, Kathy & her husband Kevin make this area their home.
